For all those people who avoid the shopping chaos associated with “Black Friday” After-Thanksgiving sales, a local Humane Society is offering a compassionate alternative. PACT Humane Society, which has an adoption center at the Bloomingdale Petco store at 412 W. Army Trail Road, is looking to promote its black cats and dog for adoption. Prospective adopters will enjoy free coffee and sweets while visiting with the pets that need new homes. And the humane society is offering free gifts with every adoption.
PACT will have volunteers ready to assist prospective adopters from 11am-5pm on Friday-Sunday, November 29-December 1. “We have over 50 dogs and cats for adoption, and we would especially like to find homes for our nine senior cats and dogs,” explained Chad Bettencourt, Director of Operations. He added, “PACT welcomes animal lovers who want to volunteer, as well.”
