Veterinary Care Coordinator

PACT's Veterinary Care Coordinators (VCCs) are our primary contact for the health of our cats & dogs.  In this management position, each VCC works closely with other management team members to guarantee the good health of our animals.

VCCs that work in our PETsMART adoption centers regularly observe the cats in the adoption centers, monitor daily log files for irregularities, insure necessary medical attention is provided to our animals, evaluate veterinary reports, help to write educational literature, organize workshops, maintain relationships with our veterinarians and are a resource for other management team members and our adopters.

The Feline Admissions VCC reviews veterinary records of cats coming into PACT to insure they have had all required procedures prior to intake.

Although not required, a background in veterinary medicine or in the medical field would be very helpful.  This person should be detail-oriented & resourceful, be able to work without direct supervision and enjoy researching veterinary-related topics.   The position requires a commitment of 5-10 hours per week.

As of June 2006, the following Veterinary Care Coordinator positions are open:

  • Feline Admissions
  • Foster Care

Email our Directors if you are interested.

We do not have any paid or salaried positions.  Everyone from our newest recruit to our President & Co-Founder is a volunteer.
