Memorials

A donation was made to PACT from Dr. Margret Thornburg D.V.M. in memory of all the great cats of her life: Gettysburg, Manassas, Macalister, Matheny, Casey, Cornelius, Tristan, Pecan, Spencer, Chip, Chopper, Vanessa, Denali, Migel, Tsechin & Pepsi. April 2009.

Mark and Dawn Enoch

The Enoch estate made a donation in memory of Mark and Dawn Enoch who loved all animals. Dawn was especially sympathetic with stray cats. They took excellent care of their pets, who had the roam of the house. Dawn was a housewife and Mark was self-employed and their animals were their children. March 2009.

Greg Sansone

A donation was made by Lisa Simons and Phyllis Sansone in memory of Greg Sansone.

Greg passed away of Sudden Cardiac Death on January 15, 2008. He was 61 years old.  He loved all of his cats Midnight, Nermal, Mitzi, and Trixie.  They were his "little girls" or "the boy" and to him, his pets were valued family members.  He will be missed.

Esther Pizarro

Esther was a very important member of the PACT family.  We were honored to have her with us for 2-3 years, before her untimely death on December 31, 2007 following a battle with brain cancer.   Many kind people made donations to the Esther Pizarro Memorial Fund, for special needs cats, in her memory.

Michael Norman

Mike Norman, a resident of Streamwood, IL, was a big animal lover.   He had TNR'd over 20 feral cats, rescued many orphaned litters of kittens and nursed injured wildlife back to health.  The animals just seemed to know where to find him.  Although he was in his early 70s, he was strong & active, and was quick to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors and strangers alike.  Mike Norman died on September 8, 2006 after being struck by a car.  He died instantly.   And in that instant, the animals lost a true friend.

Oscar

Sarah Pummell made a donation for her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Kathryn Pummell, in memory of their beloved cat Oscar.  Oscar had been diabetic for years.  His humans took such excellent care of him, he thrived for many years.  Eventually he succumbed to the disease, losing use of his rear legs and bowel/urine function.  He was humanely euthanized on May 23, 2007; he was 12 years old.   Oscar's favorite activities were taking baths, lying in a hammock to watch the birds outside, drinking from the ever-flowing bath tub water, and sitting in his humans' laps. He will be terribly missed.

Leonard Zablocki

Rae Anne Norlock made a donation in memory of her second cousin, Leonard Zablocki, a kind and gentle man who enjoyed animals, children and family.  May 2007

Aberdeen

Sheri Berliner, professional pet photographer, animal rescuer, and humane investigator, said good-bye to her dear Aberdeen on January 2, 2007.

Herbie Levy

Lea Narens made a donation in memory of Herbie Levy, who died the week of October 9, 2006.

Ruth F. Pizarro

Esther Pizarro made a donation in memory of her mother, Ruth F. Pizarro, born February 11, 1910, at rest August 13, 2006.  Ruth instilled in all of her children a love for people and animals, which is part of her legacy of love.

Max

In Loving Memory of Max, also known as Maximillion, the Cat in a Billion!!

Max was Tressa's baby and faithful companion for 15 years. They earned their Juris Doctorate together, and he stayed by her side until she learned that she had passed the bar.

He will be missed and loved FOREVER.

Misty

"To Misty:

We miss you but will always remember the joy you brought. Tom will miss you climbing all over the computer when he was trying to balance the check book. Dianne will miss you following her all around the house until you got your nightly treat. Niki will miss your face at the front door waiting for her to return from work. Danielle will miss you opening her dresser draw and pulling out her clothes for a place to hide. Ashley will miss you sleeping on her neck at night.

Sleep well my friend." -- The Taylor Family
