Placement of kittens and friendly strays from feral coloniesPACT Humane Society would LOVE to save all the animals. The sad and harsh reality is that each U.S. household would need to have 45 cats to end feline homelessness. Overpopulation kills more cats and kittens than any disease!Although PACT volunteers and our network of foster care providers go to great lengths to help every cat in need, there are a limited number of foster homes and spaces available in our adoption centers. Once kitten season starts, our resources are quickly overwhelmed. Additionally, PACT rescues cats slated for euthanasia from municipal facilities. Without precious cage space at our adoption centers, these cats would certainly be put to death. If you have found a friendly stray or kittens outside, we must ask that you, the rescuer, provide a temporary foster home until we have space available. The wait list for space at our adoption centers is 1-2 months. If you are willing to foster the friendly stray/kittens in accordance with our Stray/Kitten Rescue Intake Policy & Process, email us for approval to place the cat/kitten on our wait list. If you are unable/unwilling to comply with our Stray/Kitten Rescue Intake Policy & Process, contact other shelters for assistance. |
