Adopt a Barn Cat

PACT Humane Society has healthy, sterilized cats who desperately need new outdoor homes.  These cats are feral (wild, undomesticated) and need to live at a farm, horse stable, or other suitable outdoor environment.

We have provided these cats with veterinary care, including:

  • reproductive sterilization
  • inoculation for rabies and distemper
  • blood test for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)
  • blood test for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)
  • left-ear tipping

Only cats that test negative for FeLV and FIV are released from the veterinary hospital to our care.  Veterinary records will be furnished.

Your responsibilities will be to provide:

  • food and water daily
  • shelter from the elements
  • long-term veterinary care

After a short period of secure confinement, the cats will accept their new home.  We will assist you throughout the process.  Your feral cats will keep rodent populations down, and away from grain and food storage areas.  You will enjoy watching the cats and have the satisfaction of knowing you saved a cat's life!

If you own property or have permission for long-term placement of animals on the property you rent, please contact us via email or call 630.375.7017 and press "#" to leave a message.
