Trapping FAQs
Where do I keep the trapped cat the
night before the veterinary appointment?
Indoors or inside a shelter or car where the cat is safe from
predators and the elements. Safe places include:
- garages & sheds
- inside a spare room in the home, such as a laundry room or
basement
- in a covered pick-up truck or van, or in the back seat of a
car (crack the windows for ventilation, and only use vehicles if the
temperature outside is cool but not cold)
- those with smaller living spaces such as apartments &
condos may keep a trap in a bathtub (which makes for easy cleaning!)

Set up the area by lining the ground with a
plastic sheet or tarp. Place several sheets of newspaper on top of the
trap. Place the trap on the newspaper. |
