Let's Talk Numbers

In addition to providing a loving home to a formerly homeless cat/dog, and not supporting businesses that profit from and help to perpetuate the pet overpopulation crisis, the decision to adopt a rescued animal makes sound economic sense.

As many of us have learned the hard way, "free to a good home" will actually cost several hundred dollars to fully vet the cat or dog.  Add more if you inadvertently bring in an animal with parasites, which spread to your resident cats and/or dogs.
