PACT's Adoptions Books

As PACT's Intake Manager, Esther worked intimately with three external organizations toward saving cats:  Golf Rose Animal Hospital in Schaumburg, Fox Valley Animal Welfare League in Aurora, and CATsNAP in Champaign, IL.   PACT takes most of our cats from a combination of these "intake sources".

Throughout the year, PACT volunteers Judy Lazarus and Liz Bocci keep track of all the cats we rescue from each of these sources.  Throughout the year, Judy and Liz keep records of every cat, including the cat's picture, adoption notices, and follow-up from adopters.  At the end of the year, we print and bind these "books" and give them to our major intake sources as a holiday gift.

This year, we spiral bound and delivered all three books to Esther on December 17, 2007, so that she could reflect on the positive impact she had made on the world.

All of the staff and volunteers from Golf Rose Animal Hospital, CATsNAP, and Fox Valley Animal Welfare League continued to support Esther up until her final days, including:

  • Golf Rose Animal Hospital (GRAH) provided veterinary care to Esther's cats, and made very easy the care of her foster cat Smudge
  • A volunteer from Fox Valley Animal Welfare League sent Esther a greeting card that moved Esther to tears
  • The founder of CATsNAP made a substantial donation to PACT in Esther's memory

We thank our extended family in the rescue community for their concern for and dedication to Esther.   To see some of the cats that Esther saved, and the human's lives who were made better because of her, enjoy these 2007 PACT Adoption Books:
