Donations to PACT

Donations

PACT is a private, all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization.  We are not funded in any way by tax dollarswe rely exclusively on adoption fees and donations.   We operate on a budget of less than $80,000 per year, with typically 88-90% of that going toward veterinary care.

We are proud of what we are able to do with volunteer power and donations.   Please consider helping us in our mission.

Typical Veterinary Expenses for Special Needs Cats & Seniors

While it costs us about $100 to fully vet a young cat or kitten to meet our high standards, PACT also rescues older and special needs cats from other shelters.  Most of our special needs cats and seniors have had a full blood panel, which costs us a good percentage of the adoption fee.  Many have required extensive diagnostics including x-rays, ECGs and ultrasounds, which more than quadruples our adoption fee.  Some are on daily medication or prescription food.

Help us to continue to help these animals by making a donation:

  • $30 - one month's supply of anti-thyroid medication

  • $30 - one month's supply of prescription food

  • $40 - one month's supply of insulin and syringes for a diabetic cat

  • $90 - heart work-up including x-rays and ECG for one cat with a heart murmur

  • $100 - full blood panel, including thyroid check *OR* a dental with pre-op blood panel
